St Therese is a welcoming, diverse and dynamic Catholic co-educational primary school committed to every student finding meaning and purpose in their life through continual growth in faith and improvement in learning. Our school is a place where each student is valued and respected, developing positive relationships while working towards a hope-filled future. We ensure every child is provided with a learning program that is contemporary and personalised, in an environment that is inclusive, supportive, and challenges students to reach their full potential.
As a faith community, we aim to make a difference in the lives of others through all that we do by promoting a culture based on Gospel values. Each individual’s unique gifts and talents are recognised and celebrated, whereby children and staff are challenged and nurtured to achieve their full potential through quality learning and teaching experiences.
Students are supported to achieve their best through a variety of learning experiences to accommodate the multitude of learning styles. Students participate in hands-on learning, creative, rich and challenging tasks throughout the school day.
Students are engaged in quality learning and teaching experiences. They are challenged and encouraged at their own levels of capability, by flexible learning experiences of modelled, guided and independent learning. Our teachers develop individualised learning plans to support the needs of identified students in our care.
We understand the importance of technology in the role of education and strive to be on the forefront of learning through its integration across all Key Learning Areas. All students have access to iPads and laptops as learning tools, large screen smart TVs are in every classroom to enable easy access to digital technologies and learning resources.
We understand that student learning and wellbeing go hand-in-hand in the healthy development of every child. We strive to provide a safe and caring environment, where the unique gifts and talents of the students are recognised and celebrated. Students participate in a variety of programs to assist with their social and emotional learning and wellbeing.
